A spiders web is a beautiful and masterful piece of work only meant to last a short time. The morning dew will weigh it down and the rising winds will rip it apart.
When we forget to include God in what we are building in our lives, much like the spider’s web we may only be able to enjoy it for a short period of time. It will be taken from us and torn apart! What we build alone is not going to last! It’s only beautiful on the surface for a short time. But, what we can build with God is everlasting and meant to endure forever.
The same happens to all who forget God. The hopes of the godless evaporate. Their confidence hangs by a thread. They are leaning on a spider’s web. Job 8:13-14
