Working on the barn today I reflected a lot on my Great Grandmother and what a blessing from God she was to me and my family. She planted a seed from God in me long ago and it’s flourished into the reason that Me and family are really doing this. I question myself often and ask God even more if this is selfish of me to build this place. I don’t want it to be a burden on my family and our finances. As I was putting up boards inside the barn that were from my Great Grandmothers old house I witnessed something that has me awestruck still. It was a direct answer saying “This is what you are supposed to do” not in words but in what I felt and saw!
So I’m not going to brag about the undertaking it was to get those 8 boards from her old house buried under that barn and bring them back to life today. I’m going to tell you that God did all of this. This is all him and was in his plan all along. Thank you Granny Thorn for being here with me today doing this. I felt your spirit here and I thank God for this moment he provided.
You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. – 2 Corinthians 4:5-6
